The billionaire businessman behind Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, has once more proposed the notion of developing a new AI model named "TruthGPT."
Musk claims that the new model would put an emphasis on accuracy and fact-checking to combat skewed information and fake news.
Musk has previously expressed alarm about the dangers posed by sizable AI models, warning that they may be exploited to disseminate false information and propaganda.
Although it's unclear how far along the project is, Musk's prior remarks and the most recent launch of a new AI business named X.AI indicate that he is committed to creating the model.
In order to fight this, Musk's planned "TruthGPT" would support accurate and true information.
” In February, he tweeted, "What we need is TruthGPT," while also highlighting the dangers of massively-scaled AI models, such as those created by Open AI.
Although it's unclear how far along Musk's "TruthGPT" actually is—if it even exists at this point—it appears he's sincere about it.
